"Not having a job assured for the next season worries me a little bit, especially because we are already at the end of February", Dario Bürgler tells the Corriere del Ticino. The forward is currently a member of HC Lugano, but his contract is running out.
Stating that he understands he has to be patient due to the financial situation caused by Covid, the 33-year-old continues: "I already had some discussions with Lugano, in particular a long and positive conversation with Hnat Domenichelli. There is a lot of respect on both sides, but for the moment I cannot say yet where I will play in the next season. I hope that everything will be resolved in a short time anyway."
Bürgler hopes that he can continue his career in Lugano. "I feel at home here, both on the ice and in my daily life. My family is very happy in Ticino, our son has started to attend preschool. I do not have any reason to want to change scenery."
With twelve goals so far this season, Bürgler is currently the best goal-scorer on the Bianconeri. His total of 17 points is the sixth-best on the team.
