It is no secret that the SCL Tigers would like to keep the 32-year-old forward. The Canadian is, however, in no hurry to make a decision.

As the Berner Zeitung reports, the SCL Tigers have issued an offer for a two-year contract to Ben Maxwell. "I like it here. But I need time to make a decision," Maxwell states. "It also depends on how the team is put together for next season."

The Berner Zeitung also reported back in January that there were rumblings that HC Lugano had cast an eye on the forward. According to Maxwell, he has not received a concrete offer from the Bianconeri, though.

There might also be a possibility that he will play in Scandinavia next season. According to the same source, he has "loose contacts" with some SHL teams. Thus, at least for now, only one thing is clear: Team manager Marc Eichmann would like for him to make a decision about his future within the next few weeks.
