After he had been told in late September that he was free to leave, he became a more permanent fixture of the lineup again when several players were out due to injuries. His performance apparently led to a change of heart on Lausanne HC's side.
"It's true, I have received an offer for a two-year contract extension," Etienne Froidevaux tells Le Matin. "Let's just say I took it as a compliment." After this season, this chapter of his life will thus be closed.
The forward is rumored to have signed a two-year contract with EHC Biel, but neither party is willing to confirm the deal yet. Froidevaux has appeared in 31 games for LHC this season, recording four goals and four assists.
