As Watson's Klaus Zaugg writes, the footballer is going to be announced as a new member of HC Lugano's administrative board this coming Friday. The 37-year-old retired from professional play last summer. From 2006 to 2019, the defender made over 100 appearances for the Swiss national football team. On a club-level, his longest tenure was with Juventus Turin, from 2011 to 2018. Lugano's president Vicky Mantegazza is apparently a fan of the club and got to know Lichtsteiner this way.
