Even though both Canadian head coach Craig MacTavish and forward Christoph Bertschy are in possession of ongoing contracts, their time with Lausanne could be over earlier than expected.

According to Watson's Klaus Zaugg, based on credible sources, MacTavish is expected to get the pink slip by the club from the shores of lake Geneva at the beginning of next week. The 62-year-old Canadian was hired by Lausanne HC in February last year, replacing Ville Peltonen. His contract is valid through to the 2022-23 season.

As for Christoph Bertschy, still according to the same source, the 27-year-old center is currently being offered to other teams by LHC's Petr Svoboda (Director of Hockey Operations) despite an ongoing contract until April 2022. Bertschy moved to Lausanne from North America in 2018 and managed to put up 24 goals and 17 assissts in 57 games this season.

In addition, Zaugg suggests that probably also Mark Barberio's days with LHC and even those of Joël Genazzi (contracts until 2022) might be numbered.
