After a difficult first season for Robert Mayer in the jersey of HC Davos, the club is not satisfied and could imagine letting him go.

Does Robert Mayer have a future in Davos?

Last summer, the 31-year-old goaltender joined HC Davos from Genève-Servette HC on no less than a five-year deal. If he will remain with HCD for another four years, however, seems rather unlikely.

Although CEO Marc Gianola tells the Südostschweiz that "as of today" Mayer will play for HCD also in the upcoming season, he would be willing to listen to offers: "If a solution presents itself to get out of the contract, that is definitely an option."

No longer part of HC Davos next season will be defender Lorenz Kienzle and forward Marc Aeschlimann, whose contracts were not extended. The same holds for the import-players Teemu Turunen, Aaron Palushaj, and David Ullström, the Südostschweiz reports. HCD is thus looking for two new import-forwards for next season.
