Whereas Alatalo has signed a four-year deal with the Bianconeri, Thürkauf and Guerra will play for Lugano for the next three seasons.

Santeri Alatalo joins HC Lugano

After winning the Swiss championship with EV Zug, 31-year-old defenseman Santeri Alatalo and 23-year-old forward Calvin Thürkauf will both move to the Ticino. The first has signed for four years, the latter for three years.

HC Lugano's team manager Hnat Domenichelli describes Alatalo as "a strong two-way defender who (...) will bring experience and leadership to the group." The goal for Thürkauf, on the other hand, is to return to the NHL, Domenichelli states. "For this reason, he is very motivated and we are enthusiastic to count on him."

Moreover, also Samuel Guerra will join HC Lugano, coming from HC Davos. Already in early January, Luca Sciarini (Eco dello Sport) reported that the 27-year-old might on the move to Lugano. Now, it is confirmed: Guerra has signed a three-year contract.
