After Ticino's State Council informed the clubs about the conditions for the new season, HC Lugano and HC Ambrì-Piotta are optimistic.

Also in Ticino, full arenas will be possible again next season. As recommended by the Federal Council, only people with a Covid-certificate will get access to the arenas. In addition, the clubs have to hand in a protection plan, which has to be approved by the canton.

Good news for the Ticino hockey clubs: "If last year at this time we were looking at the season with some concern, this year there is great optimism," HC Ambrì-Piotta's CEO Nicola Mona says to RSI. "Although there is still work to be done regarding protection plans," he adds.

The protection plans is also the main issue on HC Lugano's minds: "It's never easy to make one," HCL's COO Jean-Jacques Aeschlimann explains to the same source. "Behind it there's a great coordination work, because the league and the canton have to be satisfied."
