However, with the NHL transfer market now being open, team manager Marc Gautschi hopes to soon find a solution for his team.

Genève-Servette busy on the international market

"We have four or five candidates that we are interested in," Gautschi tells the Tribune de Genève. "We are not going to panic and take anyone. We're going to evaluate the situation and convince some players who still have their eye on an NHL organization."

As for the profile of the player, Gautschi says that they know that Linus Omark's offensive talents will be difficult to replace and thus they have decided to look at all their options, given that "Daniel Winnik can move to the wing if we find a centerman."

The roster of Genève-Servette HC might also not be entirely set for the 2021-22 season. According to Gautschi, they might still make one or two moves on the Swiss market. However, they are not pressed for time: "'We're not going to take someone for the sake of taking someone."
