"He is a very important player for us. It's like a dance. We have to find a partner and hope to conclude quickly."
This season, the 27-year-old Swiss international will enter his final year of contract with Lausanne HC. As Blick writes, chances seem good that he will sign an extension before the start of the season.
There is, however, some competition. HC Fribourg-Gottéron has already knocked on Bertschy's door. "He's an excellent player who we would love to have in Fribourg," head coach Christian Dubé says to the same source. But he also says: "For the time being, I have not heard anything from him."
