Canadian John Quenneville will join the ZSC Lions on a try-out basis. The forward would be the fifth import on the Lions' roster, alongside Maxim Noreau, Marcus Krüger, Garrett Roe, and Justin Azevedo.

A member of the Chicago Blackhawks for the last two seasons, Quenneville was mainly playing for their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. Despite having an expiring contract, the 25-year-old forward was selected by the Seattle Kraken in the recent expansion draft.

The first-round draft pick by the New Jersey Devils in 2014 has made 44 games in the NHL so far, recording two goals and three assists. He has seen more usage in the AHL, where he suited up 194 times, putting up 63 goals and 84 assists.
