In mid-August, team manager Martin Steinegger told the Journal du Jura that they were looking at the defenseman but that he was not sure if he was to accept an offer from them, as he did not think Schneeberger would be among their top-6 defenders. The defenseman last played for Lausanne HC (two assists in 16 games).
EHC Biel also extended the contracts of Joren Van Pottelberghe and Toni Rajala. Both already had valid contracts in place for this season, but now agreed to stay for two additional seasons. They will thus stay until the end of the 2023-24 season.
