One month into his Try-Out deal, John Quenneville has apparently managed to convince the ZSC Lions to extend his contract. He collected some points during their preseason games and scored one goal in his two appearances in the Champions Hockey League so far.

"With his drive to the net, his hard work in the slot and his healthy toughness, John has won us over," team manager Sven Leuenberger comments the extension, while also praising the Canadian's shot, skating, and character.

Quenneville last was part of the Seattle Kraken when they selected him in their Expansion Draft earlier this summer. The previous two seasons, the 25-year-old was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks but was mostly suiting up for their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs.
