After practicing with the team for the last few weeks, Dominik Kahun and SC Bern have agreed on a three-year contract, making the forward a member until 2024. At the end of August, Blick had already written that he was expected to sign a deal with them.

"With Dominik Kahun, we now have the fourth import position optimally filled. He has the desired quality and versatility that we need, brings NHL experience with him, and has made a significant contribution to winning the silver medal at the international level as part of the German national team with 5 points in 7 games at the 2018 Olympic Games," team manager Andrew Ebbet comments.

The 26-year-old last played for the Edmonton Oilers, the fourth team of his NHL tenure. In total, the German appeared in 188 games in the NHL, recording 34 goals and 49 assists.

Kahun's contract includes an out-clause for the NHL each summer.
