"If something were to happen, we'd keep our ears open," reveals Genève-Servette HC's team manager Marc Gautschi to the Tribune de Genève. Gautschi explains that they would prefer to hire a Swiss defender rather than to "burn" a license for an import player. In the meantime, youngsters such as Olivier Guignard and Thomas Moreno will get their chance.
Currently, Geneva has to make do without three defensemen: Roger Karrer, Jonathan Mercier, and Simon Le Coultre. The latter, though, is close to a comeback.
