If a team manages to get promoted, the fee will be included in the capital they will have to bring in order to become a shareholder of the National League AG. If they do not reach the level of promotion, the money will not be returned. Instead, the sum will go - in its entirety - to the National League AG.

According to the same source, three teams seem to have decided to apply for a promotion to the National League this year: EHC Kloten, EHC Olten, and EHC Visp.
