National League

The 33-year-old forward, who spent his career playing in the NHL, has signed a two-year contract with the National League team.

Grégory Beaud (Blick) reported this morning that Frolik might be Lausanne HC's sixth import player. "The fact that he played over 900 games in the NHL speaks volumes about Michael's obvious qualities. [...] He can play centre or wing, has impeccable defensive skills and possesses a skill level that will help us in our game," head coach John Fust states about LHC's new acquisition.

Lausanne HC has been screening the market for another import player for quite some time. Michael Frolik received a tryout opportunity by the St. Louis Blues this September but did not manage to make the final cut. Frolik only played eight games for the Montreal Canadiens and two games for their AHL affiliate last season.
