National League

In an interview with the Berner Zeitung, the Finnish forward takes a stand in favor of keeping a relegation between National and Swiss League.

Harri Pesonen argues his case against a closed league in Switzerland with his view on his native country Finland. "Because there is no relegation, clubs that have no more playoff chances let their best players go shortly after Christmas, just to save money," he explains. For Pesonen, this system is clearly broken: "The fans are being fooled".

The 33-year-old, who returned to Switzerland from the KHL last summer, does not want to see this here: "It's important that there is the possibility of a relegation in Switzerland in the future. Everyone needs this thrill," he says to the Berner Zeitung.
