Already in possession of a contract for three more seasons, the Grenats' captain will stay with his club for an additional three.

A few days ago, the Tribune de Genève already reported that there will be an extension incoming for Noah Rod. Genève-Servette HC has now officialized said extension, binding the 25-year-old until 2027.

Rod joined the Grenats' junior department in 2011 and has mainly played for them ever since. Drafted by the San Jose Sharks in 2014, he spent parts of the 2016-17 and the 2017-18 season overseas with their farm team, the San Jose Barracuda. In 2018, he was named captain of GSHC and is still active in that position.

"Coming to the Vernets every morning and doing everything to win a title is what motivates me in life. I can only see my future here. When Marc Gautschi and I discussed my future and that of GSHC, we quickly agreed. Even though I still had some time left on my contract. Geneva is my city, and I want to do everything to be successful with the Grenat jersey on my shoulders. I look forward to more great adventures with the team", the forward states.
