According to Patrick Della Valle (TeleTicino/MySports), HC Lugano is indeed looking into Yannick Herren. However, they cannot afford his salary and, as Christian Dubé already told La Liberté, HC Fribourg-Gottéron is looking for a trading partner, as they want someone to replace Herren.
Omar Gargantini (RSI) later reported that there are rumors that Timo Haussener just might be that forward. The 24-year-old is currently in his fourth season with the Bianconeri and has appeared in eleven games for them this season. He has also recorded two goals in three games for the HCB Ticino Rockets.
