With Fabio Hofer's contract expiring next spring, EHC Biel had to decide whether to continue the collaboration with the 30-year-old: they ultimately chose to keep him around for two additional seasons.
Hofer arrived in Biel in 2020 and in 50 championship games in red and yellow so far, he scored 21 goals and recorded 18 assists. Of those 39 points, twelve came on the powerplay.
