National League

Extension negotiations reportedly being unfruitful so far, the forward might join the capital's National League team coming summer instead.

In the second of a two-year deal with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, Chris DiDomenico might not stick around with the Dragons once said contract is up. As Blick writes, the Canadian would likely join SC Bern if he were to leave.

DiDomenico joined Fribourg in 2020 after two years with the SCL Tigers. From 2014 to 2017, he also used to be part of Langnau before leaving for a season in North America. In total, the 32-year-old has made 355 games in Switzerland, 281 of them in the National League, and recorded 103 goals as well as 258 assists.

For Fribourg, the departure of the Canadian would leave them with two signed imports for next season, David Desharnais and Ryan Gunderson. According to Blick, team manager Christian Dubé is planning to sign a defenseman and two forwards for the remaining import slots.
