HC Fribourg-Gottéron will be able to count on the same two netminders again next season. Backup Connor Hughes has been signed to a one-year extension, as the club announced. He has been with them since summer 2020.

On loan with Genève-Servette HC until the end of January due to their injury issues in net, Hughes has made six games for Fribourg and three for HC Sierre so far this season.

Born in London (Ontario), the netminder is a Swiss-Canadian dual citizen.
