According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Beat Gerber has decided to continue playing and add another season to his long hockey career. The defenseman already told the Berner Zeitung last week that he is still willing to play, but that he is still negotiating with team manager Andrew Ebbett.
Beat Gerber is a product of the SCL Tigers' organization, but has been with SC Bern since the 2003-04 season. He has won six championships and two Swiss Cups with the Bears. This season, the defender has recorded six assists in 35 games.
