Maurer's second stint with Genève-Servette HC has been going on since 2019 and, with the new extension, will continue until at least 2024. The defenseman was already part of them for the 2009-10 season.
"I am happy and proud to extend my experience for two years with Genève-Servette. I think we can achieve great things with the team and I am really looking forward to enjoying it with my teammates and the fans". Maurer states.
"With his physical game and his great experience he has become one of our pillars on defense. We are also counting on him to continue his excellent work with our young defenders", team manager Marc Gautschi comments in regards to the extension.
Maurer has made 759 games in the National League, 180 of which have been for the Grenats.
