Christian Dubé had been looking for his fifth import player for quite a while. Earlier this week, he told La Liberté that he had not been successful in his search during the Olympic break and that the market does currently not offer much.
In Otso Rantakari he has found a defender who has already played in the National League (29 regular-season games for HC Davos and eight games for EHC Biel in the 2019-20 season). Rantakari, whose contract with Tappara Tampere was dissolved today, has appeared in 20 games for the Finnish team this season, recording one goal and five assists.
