As Martin Steinegger told the Bieler Tagblatt, his aim is to sign a defenseman to fill the gap left by Kevin Fey, who terminated his contract with the Seeländer to join HC Ajoie. As for Noah Schneeberger, with whom EHC Biel is still in contact, Steinegger explains that he would like to keep him around regardless of Fey's departure.
Asked about the goaltending department, Steinegger reveals that they have not made an offer to any goalie at the moment. With Joren van Pottelberghe sidelined for months, Biel might look also at foreigners for the position: Dmitri Shikin and Janne Juvonen (who played the final part of the season with HC Ambrì-Piotta) are reportedly candidates for the job if Biel decided to go that way.
