He has thus not yet formally signed his contract with the SCL Tigers.

As the Berner Zeitung reports, there are rumblings that the National League and Thierry Paterlini have come to a verbal agreement regarding the Tigers' vacant head coaching position.

Klaus Zaugg (Watson) already reported yesterday that the 47-year-old had rejected EHC Kloten's offer and would thus - in all likeliness - become the SCL Tigers' head coach. He also wrote that he would sign a two-year deal with the Langnau-based team.

As for his assistant coach, Watson also reported that they are looking for a Scandinavian solution. However, according to the Berner Zeitung, rumor has it that Paterlini would also be willing to work together with Martin Gerber (goaltending coach of the U15 team) or Samuel Balmer (head coach of the SCL Tigers' U17 team).
