Petteri Nummelin has signed with HC Ajoie and will figure as an assistant coach for the next two seasons. The former HC Lugano-defenseman spent the last three years on the coaching staff of Storhamar IL in Norway's top league.
"I am looking forward to starting this new chapter with HC Ajoie and to start working with this team and its new coaching staff. We are all going to work hard every day, with the objective of winning as many games as possible with our fans", the 49-year-old Fin states.
"We are happy to complete our coaching duo with the addition of Petteri Nummelin to our coaching staff. He knows the Swiss league extremely well, having played there for 13 seasons, and his experience will be a real asset for our team. We are convinced that this is the ideal duo to guide our team next season", team manager Julien Vauclair comments the new addition.
