Once again, Klaus Zaugg has predicted a signing. This time it is regarding EHC Kloten's goalie position. A month ago, the journalist wrote about Juha Metsola being the one for the club, which they confirmed today. He will stick around for the coming season.

The Finn last played for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL, over a four-year tenure. Before that, from 2015 to 2018, he was with HK Amur Khabarovsk, another KHL-team. Until then, the now-33-year-old had mostly played in his home country, besides a stint in the WHL.

Initially, Metsola had signed with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg for the coming season, but that was before the start of the war.

Kloten's other netminder, Sandro Zurkirchen, has an option in his otherwise expiring contract. Said option has been activated, extending his stay with them for another year.
