The 30-year-old, who most recently played with KHL's Salavat Yulaev Ufa, has reportedly been offered a big contract deal by a yet to be disclosed Swiss team.

That is what Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat revealed today. The 2022 Winter Olympics and World Championship gold medalist, for his part, maintains a low profile: "I don't know yet about my next season. I was so busy with my own wedding preparations after the Worlds that, to be honest, I didn't have time to think about anything else," Manninen said.

According to the same source, Manninen not only draws interest from SHL's Örebro HK, for which he suited up already during the 2017-18 season, but also from several NHL teams. "Now that I'm happily married, I have to take my time and enjoy this moment. The time for contractual matters will come a little later," he added.

Part of KHL's Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the past three seasons, Manninen managed to put up 54 goals and 72 assists in a total of 165 games for them. For the Finnish national team at this year's Winter Olympics and World Championships, he recorded 17 points and earned himself a spot in the All-Star team of both tournaments.
