Julien Sprunger has decided to sign an early contract extension and will thus stay with HC Fribourg-Gottéron until the end of the 2023-24 season. "I am still hungry for goals, I want to continue to help the team and win a title with my teammates", Sprunger states.

The captain of the Dragons made his debut for HCFG back in the 2002-03 season. He has appeared in over 900 National League games for them. This past season, Sprunger recorded 18 goals and 19 assists in 41 games for HCFG.
