Jesper Peltonen spent the last four years at the University of Wisconsin, playing for their hockey team in Division I of the NCAA. Until September, he will get the chance to show himself on the men's level as part of EHC Kloten.
The son of Ville Peltonen - former player for HC Lugano and former coach of Lausanne HC - left his home country Finland for the US in 2014, joining the Lake Placid-based Northwood School. He is in possession of a Swiss player's license.
