Janne Kuokkanen has spent the past six seasons overseas, apart from 16 games which he played on loan for Kärpät Oulu in his native country in the 2020-21 season. Next season, he will thus return to Europe once again and play for Fribourg-Gottéron.
All in all, Kuokkanen brings an experience of 119 NHL games to Fribourg. He suited up for the Carolina Hurricanes and then for the New Jersey Devils.
