National League

The National League team has agreed to terms with the 28-year-old American.

Ramon Knellwolf

Jordan Schmaltz, who was drafted in the first round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, played most of his professional career in the AHL. Last season, the defender moved to Europe and suited up for HIFK. IN 55 regular-season games for them, he recorded nine goals and 24 assists.

Ramonn Knellwolf, on the other hand, will leave EHC Kloten, albeit on a loan basis. He will be available to HC Thurgau for the entire 2022-23 season. The forward, whose contract with Kloten will expire after this season, is supposed to gain some experience with the Swiss League team.

With the addition of Knellwolf, HC Thurgau is done on the market. The roster is, however, not set yet, as they are still waiting to receive some players from HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
