The 33-year-old Austrian and the 26-year-old Canadian have both signed two-year contracts with Lausanne HC.

As already reported by Blick and the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung, Michael Raffl is going to suit up for Lausanne HC for the next two seasons. "Michael has proven his worth as a leader in the NHL and with the Austrian national team," LHC's head coach John Fust says.

After nine seasons in the NHL, where he played for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Washington Capitals, and the Dallas Stars, Raffl thus returns to Europe. Over the course of his career in the NHL, he appeared in 629 games, in which he recorded 190 points (96 goals).

In addition to Raffl, also Canadian forward Daniel Audette will suit up for Lausanne HC in the next two seasons. "He has an offensive style of play with defensive responsibilities," Fust says.

The 26-year-old Audette arrives from the SHL's Örebro HK, for which he suited up 18 times last season (two goals, nine assists).
