"After the poor past season, I couldn't and didn't want to retire," Beat Gerber, who has played in over 1,000 National League games, states. "Now I'm looking forward all the more to my last, hopefully, successful season."
While it will be his last season with the Bears as a player, he will stay in the organization after he will retire. As previously reported by Klaus Zaugg (Watson), he will serve as SCB's equipment manager as of the 2023-24 season.
