The decision to terminate the agreement between HC Davos and Axel Simic is explained with the intention to let the 23-year-old forward find a better solution for himself, i. e. a team that could give him more ice time. As it turns out, that team is EHC Kloten and they have signed Simic until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Simic joined Davos last season from the ZSC Lions. In 43 games with HCD, the forward scored nine goals and collected six assists, while averaging 11:56 minutes on the ice per game.
