"Valentin is one of those players who already have a lot of impact on the team today", HC Davos' team manager Jan Alston states. "With his performance-oriented and demanding nature, he always demands a lot from himself and thus contributes to a healthy competitive situation within the team."
A member of the team since January 2021 when he joined them as part of a deal with EHC Biel, Nussbaumer has made 58 games for Davos so far, recording twelve goals and 20 assists.
"In the future, Valentin is set to become a leader with a lot of responsibility at HCD", Alston comments. "We want to offer him the necessary time and sporting opportunities on this path. Therefore we are very happy that Valentin commits himself to Hockey Club Davos for the long term."
Before Davos and Biel, Nussbaumer spent one-and-a-half years (from 2018 to January 2020) in the QMJHL. In his youth years, he was part of HC Ajoie and later Biel.
