The club explained the CHF 1.457 million deficit with the fact that the sporting success, i. e. the promotion to the National League, was the priority. Everything was thus subordinated to this success. In the long term, the board of directors wants to give financial stability to the club and a step to achieve that is a capital increase. As part of these measures, the participation certificate capital has been defined at CHF 500'000.

Moreover, EHC Kloten Sport AG welcomes two new major shareholders, Thomas Matter and Jan Schoch, who join current major shareholders Mike Schälchli, Heinz Eberhart, Jan Sommerhalder, Peter Neukom, Urs Stieger, and Jan Schibli. All eight shareholders subscribe to the same number of shares.
