"I found out from my agent. I think I could have been informed directly, but that's another story. At least I'm settled," Matthias Rossi tells La Liberté. "Talks have started elsewhere, I'm looking forward to finding out where I'm going to end up if only to be able to set a goal again."

Rossi has not received a lot of ice time this season, only logging 7:57 minutes on average. The forward is convinced that he would help the team more if he were given a chance: "I have always scored my goals in the past. [...] I think I can still be of service to the team. With my size, I bring a different profile than the others. But it's not up to me."

Rossi has been with HC Fribourg-Gottéron since 2017 and says that Gottéron is "very close to my heart. It's been a long and beautiful chapter in my career." In 23 games this season, Rossi has recorded three goals and three assists.
