After Tim Grossniklaus, Colin Gerber is the Lakers second addition in defense for the upcoming season. The 24-year-old has only played for SC Bern in the National League so far. Now, the Lakers will become his second club in Switzerland's top league. He has signed a two-year deal.
This season so far, Gerber has appeared in 29 games for the Bears, in which he put up five points (one goal).
In addition, the Lakers announce that they have extended the contracts of goalie Robin Meyer, 22, and forward Mats Alge, 19. With both, the Lakers have made use of their option for two additional seasons. Meyer and Alge will thus stay at least until 2025.
