The defenseman and "youngster of the year" 2022 signs with SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for two more years, beginning at the of this season.

The promising 21-year-old broke out last year in his first year with the Lakers, playing in 44 games (16 points), while having an average time on ice of 15:31 for head coach Stefan Hedlund. This season, he averages 13:02 time on ice, scoring two assists in 18 games.

Team manager Janick Steinmann knows the importance of relying on young players: "The strategy of relying on young players and giving them the confidence they need is paying off. They know they can develop and grow into an important role with the Lakers."

Vouardoux, born in Valais, spent his early junior years with HC Sierre, before joining the Lausanne HC organisation in 2016. He played one National League game for Lausanne, and then joined Rapperswil in 2021.
