Glen Metropolit, who is now an assistant coach with HC Davos, and Fredy Lüthi are the sixth and seventh former player of the Bianconeri, who are going to be part of their Hall of Fame. Already inducted were Alfio Molina, Bernard Côté, Bruno Rogger, Silvano Corti, and Andy Ton.
Fredy Lüthi played nine consecutive seasons for HC Lugano from 1984 to 1993 and won the Swiss championship with them four times (1986, 1987, 1988, and 1990). Glen Metropolit played three seasons in Lugano and celebrated the Swiss championship title with them in 2006.
