That Juho Metsola stays in Kloten comes as no surprise. Two weeks ago, the Finnish news outlet Ilta-Sanomat already reported that the 34-year-old will extend his contract in Kloten and not yet return to Finland.
This season, Metsola and Zurkirchen share the net of EHC Kloten. Metsola appeared in 23 games, Zurkirchen in 15. "Both have played a big part in EHC's success so far," the club writes in a press release.
Less fortunate news come from Kloten's US-defender Jordan Schmaltz. He still suffers from the aftermath of a concussion he sustained during pre-season. It is not yet clear if he will be able to play again this season.
