Mettler expressed a desire to move his job back to the Unterland. Before being in Grisons, Mettler worked as a goaltending coach for the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.
He will thus return to his former employer after current goaltending coach Thomas Bäumle will have left. Bäume leaves the organization due to personal reasons. Mettler will take over his position on May 1.
