The rumors about an early contract termination between SC Bern and Chris DiDomenico have been confirmed by the National League club today.

"Chris DiDomenico has approached us in recent weeks and asked for the early termination of his contract at the end of the season", team manager Andrew Ebbett states. "We comply with this request and are convinced that Chris DiDomenico will give his full commitment to the SCB until the last game."

As Blick wrote earlier today, the reason behind the resolution of the agreement apparently lies in DiDomenico's tactical indiscipline, which caused trouble in the team. Discussions did not bring any improvement and the 34-year-old thus undermined the authority of the head coach.

This season thus far, DiDomenico scored 21 goals and put up 29 assists in 44 games. With 50 points he is SC Bern's top point-getter by a wide margin and his average of 1.14 points per game is second in the league, only trailing Roman Červenka.
