"I am beyond grateful to have represented this organization for 7 seasons. Zug has become a home for me and will always have a special place in my heart," Carl Klingberg writes in a message posted on his personal Instagram.
"This season will be the last in this organization [...]. I'm truly blessed to have met so many new friends and fans in a city I will always consider home," the forward further states. "But hockey is the main reason why I've been here and now it's time, both for the organization and myself, to find new paths moving forward."
Klingberg has been part of EV Zug's organization since 2016. This season, he recorded seven goals and eleven assists in 38 regular-season games.
