HC Lugano signs two youngsters to their first professional contracts
Defender Leandro Hausheer, 20, and forward Cole Cormier, 21, are set to play both in the National League and for the Bianconeri's U20-Elit.
Leandro Hausheer joins HC Lugano from EV Zug's youth department, in which he played both for the U17 and then for the U20. On both junior stages, he became Swiss champion with Zug.
Cole Cormier, the son of former Sierre player Derek Cormier, is Canadian but has a Swiss license. For the past four seasons, he played in the QMJHL, a Canadian junior league, for the Rimouski Océanic, the Quebec Remparts and the Gatineau Olympiques.
Both have signed two-year entry-level contracts with HC Lugano.
