HC Fribourg-Gottéron announced on Thursday that as of the 2024-25 season, Christian Dubé would solely focus on his role as head coach. The Dragons thus need to look for a new team manager.

Gerd Zenhäusern is currently HCFG's assistant team manager. His contract, too, will run out in 2024. He would, however, be interested in taking on Dubé's current position, as he tells La Liberté: "It would be a great challenge for me, of course, I'm interested. But there will be other candidates, I'm aware of that."

La Liberté also asked Julien Sprunger whether he will be one of the candidates for the vacant position: "There's no discussion about it and for good reason: I don't even know myself whether the coming season will be my last as a player."

He adds that he mentioned in his contract that he would like to work for the organization after the end of his career, but "I don't yet know exactly what field I'll be working in. Sports, administration, marketing: the options are numerous. One thing's for sure: it won't be as a coach."
